Chris West

Assistant Instructor

Chris received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University in 1993, and has continued to take regular courses in manual therapy and orthopedics to keep up with current concepts in rehabilitation.  He has been practicing Dry Needling since 2005 and has been an assistant instructor in Functional Dry Needling techniques for KinetaCore┬« since 2009.

Chris has worked with the Boulder community since 1994 and started West Therapies in 2009 in a collaborative effort with Trevor Pace and Pace Physical Therapy -- now named Pace West Physical Therapy.  As a clinician and administrator, he is effective in treating cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sports injuries.  Chris practices by mixing patient education, manual therapy, dry needling and hands-on techniques with stabilization and rehab exercises.  As an avid back-country skier, cyclist and outdoor recreationist, he relates well to the frustrations athletes experience when injury prevents them from performing the activities they love.  He has consulted on several orthopedic pamphlets for Krames StayWell, providing content information for revisions of their medical community materials.  Chris spends his free time raising two children and getting outside in the mountains as much as possible.
