Assistant Instructor

Matt graduated from Regis University with his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2006.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2002.

Matt is currently the owner of Dynamic Physical Therapy in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and is also affiliate faculty at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in their physical therapy program teaching musculoskeletal management courses. He was awarded Physical Therapist of the Year for the state of Utah in 2014 due to his work with the Utah Physical Therapy Association in getting Dry Needling passed in the state of Utah.  Prior to these positions, he worked with Edo Zylstra at KinetaCare Physical Therapy in Brighton, Colorado.  He has been performing dry needling since 2008 and has been an assistant instructor for the Functional Dry Needling courses since 2009-10.

Matt specializes in spine rehabilitation, sports medicine, whiplash injuries, vestibular dysfunction, and temporomandibular disorders, He also incorporates the Functional Movement Screen and Selective Functional Movement Assessment into his treatments. 

Matt lives in Salt Lake City with his two children, Katelynn and Trevor.
