Dr. Sarah Weimer

Sarah Weimer, PT, DPT Sarah is a Clinical Director of Washington Wellness Physical Therapy and SportsCare, based in Washington, D.C. She successfully launched the clinic's second branch in 2017 after tripling the clientele within her first 5 years at WWPT's primary location. Washington Wellness Physical Therapy is a private practice clinic with a focus on orthopedic injuries, post-operative care, sports therapy and wellness education. Sarah finished at the top of her class at Shenandoah University, graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 after pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation at Slippery Rock University. Sarah enjoys clinical work because it allows her to address and solve a variety of mobility challenges for a diverse set of patients, but specializes in treating the running community, from elite to beginner runners. In 2010, Sarah became certified in Functional Dry Needling, a technique she believes has immense potential to improve patients' treatment by correcting underlying neural efficiencies to eliminate muscular dysfunctions. In 2018, she became an Assistant Instructor for Functional Dry Needling with KinetaCore. She enjoys teaching the knowledge and skills of Functional Dry Needling to her peers and colleagues to help expand the profession of Physical Therapy. Sarah lives in Washington, D.C. where she is an avid marathoner, cyclist and enjoys playing basketball and volleyball both competitively and recreationally. Sarah’s greatest joy is giving back to her fellow athletes through her love of Physical Therapy.
